Ulka Sasaki

He participated in the National Tournament in high school as a member of the wrestling club before moving into mixed martial arts (MMA). In 2013, he won the Shooto Pacific Rim Featherweight Championship, and in 2014, he signed with the UFC. He built up his professional record both domestically and internationally, including competing at the RIZIN New Year’s Eve event in 2018. His passion for professional wrestling, which he held since childhood, was rekindled after attending the Great Muta vs. Shinsuke Nakamura match live on January 1, 2023. Following training at the NOAH dojo, he made his professional wrestling debut against Takashi Sugiura at "ABEMA presents NOAH 'THE NEW YEAR' 2024" on January 2, 2024. His official signing with Pro-Wrestling NOAH was announced in May of the same year, and he captured the GHC National Championship on July 13th. He has continued to be actively involved, mainly in the tag team scene, ever since. On January 1, 2025, at "ABEMA presents NOAH 'THE NEW YEAR' 2025," he faced Shinsuke Nakamura in a Special Singles Match. The bout against Nakamura, with whom he had a connection since his MMA days, marked a significant milestone in his pro wrestling career. Furthermore, at the "LINE Yahoo presents Pro-Wrestling NOAH 25th Anniversary Show MEMORIAL VOYAGE 2025 in KOKUGIKAN" on May 3, 2025, he is scheduled to make his first challenge for the GHC Tag Team Championship alongside Kenoh against the team of Jack Morris & Daga. He aims to capture the title again in this highly anticipated big match. Bearing the name "Uruka," which means "Tengu" in Sanskrit, he continues to captivate audiences with a fighting style that merges his MMA-honed skills with his own unique flair.
