He was active in wrestling in high school and university. After graduation, he joined Kensuke Office and made his debut in his hometown of Toyama. With the suspension of DIAMOND RING's activities, he joined NOAH from April 2014. In April 2016, he changed his ring name from his real name, Mitsuharu Kitamiya, to Masa Kitamiya, inheriting the will of Masa Saito. His solid skills often earn him the title of NOAH's gatekeeper.
