Inspired by Kota Ibushi, he approached then-president Sanshiro Takagi at a merchandise booth and directly told him, "I want to be a cool wrestler who can do a lot of flying moves." He then joined the promotion and, traveling between his hometown of Osaka and Tokyo, made his debut on December 4, 2016, at the age of eight, as DDT's first-ever kid wrestler. He earned his first victory at the Saitama Super Arena on March 20, 2017. Later, he performed under a mask as El Unicorn in DDT's teenage project, "DDTeeeen!!," where he concealed his identity. At his graduation match for DDTeeeen!! on March 21, 2023, he removed his mask and relaunched his career under his real name, Yuni.
