He energized DDT as the ace when the promotion was founded in 1997, and in 2006, he became the president. Since then, under the title of "Dai-Shacho" (Big President), he continued to support DDT both as a manager and a wrestler. In 2015, he also took on the roles of CEO (later advisor) for WRESTLE-1. In September 2020, following the merger of DDT and NOAH Global Entertainment, he was appointed President and Representative Director of the newly established CyberFight Inc. In September 2023, he realized "Shinkansen Pro Wrestling," a match against Minoru Suzuki held inside a running bullet train, which garnered a massive reaction from around the world. In June 2024, following the appointment of Yasuo Okamoto as CyberFight's president, he became Vice President, focusing on the management of DDT and Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling. Due to health concerns and the need to cultivate a successor in management, he went on an indefinite hiatus starting with the Ryogoku event in July 2024, but he made his return at the Ryogoku event in November 2025.
