Shinya Aoki

After graduating from college, he became a police officer, but his background in judo led him to make his MMA debut in DEEP in 2003. He then went on to compete against top fighters in SHOOTO, PRIDE, and DREAM, and now primarily fights in ONE Championship. He is a world-renowned MMA fighter with some of the best ground grappling skills in Japan. He made his pro-wrestling debut in 2014 and first competed in DDT in 2018. He had fierce battles with Konosuke Takeshita and HARASHIMA and won the DDT EXTREME Championship. In 2024, he defeated Yuki Ueno to win the KO-D Openweight Championship for the first time.
